User Safety Policy
To ensure complete user safety HuntHeal representative adhere to the following User Safety policies.
Close Personal Information – Before providing access you are requested to first close all personal and confidential files and folders (HuntHeal reps will not access any files or folders without your permission).
No Third Party Software Downloads – For your Safety, HuntHeal representatives are not authorized to download or use any third party software from the Internet on your computer.
No Third Party Payment Collection – HuntHeal does not collect payments through Western Union or any third party payments service providers.
No Third Party Software Sales – HuntHeal does not sell any software from any third party websites.
No Outbound Sales Calls – HuntHeal does not make unsolicited calls to consumers for technical support requests.
Presence Recommended – HuntHeal recommends user to be present in front of their PCs at all times during the remote session.
Non Critical Errors – For your information Temp Files, Registry Errors, Low Memory, CPU Usage levels and Windows Update Warnings are not necessarily critical errors.
What is Remote Access?
1. Whose software does HuntHeal use for remote computer connection?
HuntHeal uses Logmein Rescue & HuntHeal Connect software for remote access.
2. Once the remote connection software is installed on a computer, can HuntHeal connect to the computer without your knowledge?
No. Only when you enter the 6-digit code and check Allow Access can a connection be made with GuruAid agents. Hence there is no way for us to initiate connection with your computer without your knowledge and active participation.
3. Is the 6-digit code for my specific account?
No. This code is dynamically generated for every new remote session. In the event that you want to reconnect with our agents, you will have to call us and get a new 6 digit code to initiate another connection.
4. The remote access software that is installed on my computer does it always run in the background?
Once the remote connection is made it is as-if the agent is at your desktop navigating your computer. Hence we advice you to close all personal files and folders and if you are not sure keep a watch on agent activity.
5. What if I am not sure about this process and want to disconnect the remote session that has been started?
No problem. Simply tell the agent to terminate the session or
- Close the remote connection window that is opened and the connection will be disconnected (Applicable for Logmein)
- Locate the HuntHeal Connect application in the system tray, right click on it and select ‘exit’ to disconnect the session (Applicable for HuntHeal Connect)
6. The remote access software that is installed on my computer does it always run in the background?
No. The only way the software will run is if you choose to run the exe downloaded. Logmein are reputed companies headquartered in US.
